Today was the first day we went horse back riding to Jamaica Bay in Brooklyn. It took us an hour to get there. Once we got there we got to pet and groom some of the horses on a terrible rainy cold day. After we finished grooming the horses we finally go to ride some of the horses while it was raining. Many people were frightened to get on those big horses because they thought they were going to fall off their horses, and some were scared because it was their first time horse back riding. For example Nusrat’s horse was one of the slowest and the smallest horse but she was still a bit frightened. Kimberly’s horse kept falling asleep and fighting with Karol’s horse. Karol was crying once she got on her horse because she thought her horse was really big and was going to throw her off. Julian’s horse was one of the biggest horses and the first horse on the line. Sandra’s horse was going crazy. Leslie was calm with her horse. Marc was scared but remained calm. Ayana was having fun with her horse and enjoying her horse ride and so was Mariano. After we finished horse back riding we finally got our food. We were a little short on time so we had to take our food to school. Some people ate on the bus when not suppose to and some spilled their soda and food. The people that ate during the bus had to clean up all the mess they made on the floor. After all that we apologized to the bus driver and went up to class and finished our food. We then watched a video about horse back riding tips. Some important tips were use a helmet with a string strap,be calm and relaxed or else the horse will get frightened, another important fact is never stand behind a horse you don’t know because it might kick you. So this is how our first day of horse back riding went.
