Music Studio and Concerts

Aidan- This week we observed 2 jazz performances and

Paola- on Tuesday,Wednesday,and Friday we went to jazz concerts and they kind of were good but some were boring.

Emily- This whole week we watched performances, and i learned how to play piano: Sunday Morning by Maroon 5.

Marissa- i didn’t even know i liked jazz, but after listening to the performances i found that i really like jazz, it’s easy to listen.

Jenelle- i like jazz but i also learned how to play a song on the piano and i knew how to play the drums.

Claudia- I finished learning how to play Chopsticks on the piano and i got exposed to culture i hadn’t ever thought about.

Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2014: The Gotham Jazzmen playing a concert in The Bruno Walter Auditorium at The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center.

Wednesday, Oct. 29, 1PM: Midday Jazz at St. Peter’s Church aka “The Jazz Church”. Many famous and not so famous musicians have performed, rehearsed, met, and been memorialized at this great place on the east side of Manhattan. This day we saw pianist and vocalist, Alex Leonard, with guitarist Al Gafa, and bassist Jay Leonhart.

Friday, Oct. 31, 2014: We visited the home of a local hero and an international ambassador of culture, Louis Armstrong!
