Goal and Objectives: Students will learn how to bring a cartoon character to life using basic animation principles

Students will use basic animation principles to animate simple geometric shapes

Students will watch early Disney cartoons to see how the three basic animation principles are used to create movements in an animation.

Students will apply stretching and squashing principle to the walk cycle of their character. Students will learn IMovie basic features.

Students will watch the animation ” Hedgehog and the fog” to understand how a walk cycle can be used in an animation

Students will learn how to map a simple animation action

Students will learn how to finalize a short animations and use I movie to render their films.

Monday, March 28 Students will learn three basic animation principles; stretching,squashing and how to use a path of action.

Tuesday, March 29 Students will create their own character and learn basic walk cycles. Students will add sound effect and music to their bouncing shapes exercise.

Wednesday, March 30 Students will plan and make short animation using a storyboard. Students will add sound effects and music to their walk cycles.

Thursday, March 31 Students will complete their short animation.

Friday, April 1 Students will prepare a DVD for the Animation cluster presentation
